Family Fun Challenge
On 25 July 2015, the Sikh community again supported us with their Family Fun Day at Priory Country Park. The 5k/10k Walk raised money for Nepal Earthquake victims and our own Challenge Cancer Appeal. The result was a very generous donation of £3004 being given to our Vice Chairman, Gordon Beeden. We have been richly supported by the Sikh community in Bedford and send our sincere thanks to them.
The Fun Day was organised by Akaal Seva, an organisation formed by the young people from the Sikh community. It has been involved in many projects working with younger people, promoting health and wellbeing, living Sikhi camps, musical & singing classes, sports including football and gatka.
